Amber Perry
I began my history with yoga over 15 years ago. I loved the post-yoga high and was inspired to become a teacher when I experienced the mind/body/higher power connection. Teaching yoga feels like both a service to others and a fulfillment of passion and joy for myself. I teach a wide variety of classes and bodies but find that people connect most with my style if they are open to spiritual development (i.e. more than a workout).
I was inspired to create retreats where women could experience an immersion of sorts; an all-inclusive experience to refresh the spirits of caregivers in our community.

I became a certified yoga teacher in 2015 and enjoy teaching various styles of yoga. For me, being a yoga teacher goes beyond asana. In my classes, I love to combine creative sequencing, a spirit of playfulness and a dose of inspiration to help you deepen your practice. I believe we are all connected, which means everybody is working in their own rhythm in time. I encourage students to listen to their body by offering modifications and advances for each pose.

My Yoga adventure began in 2016, and I eventually found a home at Azitala, where I love going to classes regularly. By linking movement, breath, and mind, I had a realization: that I was in control of my life and ready for what was next. That led to my calling to become a yoga teacher and I am grateful that I found a way to join my faith with my life. My beginning yoga instructor met me where I was in my journey at the time, and that made all the difference to me. I’d like to pass that on to people and help others shine their light in this world. I can’t wait to meet you on the mat!
