“The need for connection and community is primal, as fundamental as the need for air, water, and food.” – Dean Ornish
Arrive after 4pm Thursday, Nov 2 & depart by 11am Sunday, Nov 5.

Healing Power of Touch
Benefit from the healing power of touch through the work of the teachers, the treatment providers, and your own skills gained through hands-on learning.
Learn to influence the body to function better through facial reflexology and lymphatic drainage. You will learn the zones of the face to stimulate your organs and body parts and leave with a reflexology tool and handouts to utilize what you’ve learned at home.
Retreat Teachers:
Amy Gunderson-McNeil, D.C.

Amy has been a chiropractor for 20 years in central Minnesota. During this time, she has
learned a variety of skills to offer that complement chiropractic care. Some of those include:
acupuncture, craniosacral therapy, myofascial unwinding, facial reflexology and lymphatic
drainage.
A shift came for Amy when she learned facial reflexology in 2021. She began to truly enjoy
offering a service that allowed clients to feel full relaxation. There is a collective need for this.
An overwhelming amount of people live in fight or flight mode, which is hard for the body to
sustain, and further diminishes our body’s restorative abilities. Fulfilling this need, she opened
Vital Balance in Princeton, MN in December of 2022. She has seen such a shift in the physical
and emotional challenges that people carry. In as little as 3-5 sessions clients see changes on
all levels. She also encourages her clients to do their own homework, by working on their own
body, to enhance the healing process. Our body is always healing. With the openness to learn,
we can help it too.

Amber Perry, 500RYT, E-RYT200
I (Amber) began my history with yoga over 15 years ago. I loved that post-yoga high and was inspired to become a teacher once I experienced the possibility of a deeper connection. Teaching yoga feels like both a service to others and a fulfillment of passion and joy for myself. I teach a wide variety of classes and bodies but am most passionate about helping people connect with tools they can use in everyday life.
I’m recently trained in facial reflexology and excited to add this to my healing modalities. I work to put my clients at ease and provide sessions that are very grounding and nurturing.
I was inspired to create retreats where folks could experience an immersion of sorts; an all-inclusive experience that could refresh the spirits of caregivers in our community.
{Amber is RYT 500, E-RYT 200, and certified in Thai Yoga Bodywork & Energy Medicine Yoga Foundations}

JennieRuth Warren, 500RYT
JR’s yoga journey began in fall of 2016 as an empty nest was approaching. She attended her first yoga class at her church and knew immediately that she had experienced something special. Yoga helped her find balance during a time of immense transition.
She is currently leading yoga and Sound Healing classes at Azitala and Willow Soul, along with traveling to other studios and wellness centers. She is building a private healing practice and looking forward to releasing her first CD this Fall!
JR is grateful for this journey and looking forward to sharing learning, reflective, healing, and restorative time at another Sweet Spirit retreat.

Healing Power of Sound
Be transported by the power of both sound and silence over the course of the weekend. You’ll experience the use of different instruments and learn more about the varying frequencies and their effects on the physical & energetic body.

Healing Power of Energy
Harness your own energy through movement, breath, intention, and more. All classes are for all levels and abilities! You’ll be encouraged to move mindfully with diverse breath and posture options to support your personal experience. Move for freedom, joy, & release, not for a “pretty pose.”
Energy Medicine Yoga combines movement, breath, intention, & energetic awareness to increase the healing power of your practice. You’ll experience Energy Medicine “sprinkled” throughout the weekend, awakening systems and shifting into desirable patterns.
“Where focus goes, energy flows.” –Tony Robbins

Treat Your Sweet Self

I (Amber) am addicted to my facial reflexology sessions with Amy! I relax almost instantly every time and have seen a major difference in my psoriasis.

I feel warm and cozy and so very cared for in my private Reiki & Sound sessions with JennieRuth! Her sound bath classes leave me feeling incredibly relaxed and balanced.

Amy Miller-Strand will be offering 1 hour massage sessions.
I have had the personal privilege of experiencing massage with Amy and can say it is heavenly! She works deeply & intuitively with a variety of techniques to both relieve muscle tension and leave the recipient feeling incredibly relaxed.
Amy is an instigator of self care and promotes the adventure of self exploration through bodywork of all kinds. She is trained in Western Massage Modalities and Eastern Medicine Philosophy. Amy creates a fusion of both worlds using Swedish/Deep Tissue/Trigger Point Therapies/ Essential Oils with Shiatsu/Thai/Reflexology/Chinese Cupping Techniques.
{Signup will become available for massage one month in advance of the retreat.}

Rachelle Escher will be offering 1 hour massage sessions.
I loved my session with Rachelle! It reminded me of a vacation massage- I felt dreamy & relaxed.
My name is Rachelle and I am the owner of Healing Creek Massage in Elk River, MN. I opened my own business in April 2022 after working as a massage therapist in Plymouth, MN for 4 years. The unspoken energy exchange that takes place during a massage therapy session is my favorite way of connecting with other souls. My goal is to offer a safe and comfortable space for my clients to relax and decompress.

Tanya Rice will be offering 1 hour Reiki healing sessions.
Tanya helped me to find relief from the proverbial backpack I carried for years- physically & emotionally. These sessions are life changing!
About Tanya: My story in Yoga, Wellness and Healing started many years ago, I first practiced yoga in 2010, and it transformed my life. I started yoga on a whim — a coupon actually — by the urging of a good friend, and, before the coupon ran out, I was hooked. For me, yoga was a way to find peace in a busy work week, work through sports injuries I was gaining in my harder impact sports, and a way for me to control my weight with a work out that felt good in and out of my body. I WAS IN LOVE WITH THAT FEELING…. So in love that I decided to join that same friend in teacher training, and I became certified in yoga in 2012. Throughout my certification process, I began building the dream of a studio for yoga, wellness and healing practices. I received my Reiki Master in 2020 and have enjoyed sharing healing ever since.
